Our homes are located primarily in the west end of the Ottawa-Carleton Region where we specialize in the development and implementation of therapeutic programs and the utilization of daily life events to facilitate positive change for the children and youth in our care.

COVID-19 Policy
The health and safety of our employees is and will always be our top priority. Evolving Youth Care is committed to taking every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of their health and safety from the hazard of COVID-19. To this end effective November 30, 2021 all EYC employees, students and volunteers as well as any visitors are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of their double vaccination prior to working or entering one of our homes. Furthermore:
- All EYC employees and visitors must also answer “no” to all Covid-19 mandated questions prior to entering the homes
- All EYC employees and visitors must be wearing the appropriate PPE (goggles and face mask) at all times when entering the homes
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout all the homes
- EYC provides rapid antigen tests to all employees when required (based on available supply)

Awake Overnight
Ottawa, ON

We are actively seeking awake overnights to join us at Evolving Youth Care (EYC) on a casual, part-time or full-time basis.
Tasks associated with this position include, but are not limited to;
Meal prep, cleaning, medication administration, admin tasks, report writing, overall tending to the home in the overnight hours when the environment is settled and quiet.
We support youth who may be struggling with various difficulties such as mental health, depressions, behavioural challenges, family break down etc. Creating a warm home environment and being supportive and non-judgemental is a priority for this position.
Possible Shifts:
11pm-8am, 11pm-11am

Child and Youth Worker

Evolving Youth Care, Inc. has been providing a full spectrum of services to children and youth since 1998. Our homes are located throughout Ottawa and the surrounding areas, serving children and youth ages 12-17.
We are looking for team members who are committed to positively impacting the youth we support. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of youth who are searching for ways to contribute to their communities, find places of belonging, explore their own values and interests, we would like to hear from you.
We are currently looking for staff to work a combination of days/evenings and every second weekend for our group homes located throughout the Ottawa area. Evolving Youth Care is looking for part time and full time Child and Youth Workers.
Evolving Youth Care is looking for staff team members who demonstrate positive leadership skills and know how to set and maintain professional boundaries with clients. This position will include taking responsibility for the youths’ safety and security and supporting them in the areas of Individual/Group Therapy, Life Skills and Social Skills and assisting with community-based services, including, medical, personal, recreational, and educational needs.
Key components of this position include:
– Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories
– Implementing life skills workshops
– Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs
– Develop, coordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community
– Provide suicide and crisis intervention
– Resolve conflict situations
– Implement substance abuse treatment programs and behavior management programs
– Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
– Housekeeping and cooking
Education Requirements:
Ideally, you possess a high school diploma along with one of the following: Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW/CYC) Diploma, Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Community Justice Worker (CJW), Police Foundations (PF). Similar experience working in Social Services will also be considered.
Additional Requirements:
Proof of Double Vaccination, Criminal record check, Child welfare check, Driver’s license, medical exam. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) will be considered an asset.
